Artists are not just stitchers (painters, photographers, writers, etc.) so I particularly like the "Fuck Em" piece! I love your writings, they are the thoughts of someone who observes everything around him and then interprets through his art.
Father's day does trigger more memory and even nostalgia than personal feelings about parenting. I am in your age group and my father did not speak or emote much, but he was always there and for that reason, it's only as I get older that I can look back and "know him" more and more with each year.
Your family is wonderful and vast and you still have them all around you - that is a blessing!

i've read and re-read this last post and this last time around as i re-viewed the last pic,
and the one just before it and discovered the little guy peering through the center space 😳😂,
i experienced the vision of your pieces arranged and connected as a book for children.
have you ever been inspired to create that? like for your own family, maybe one for each of them, especially inspired by memories you share of them, with them? all children need to be Loved and recognized in 'special' ways that they can or will understand some day . . .
i wish everyone experienced a family like yours💗

Communication is a community sport. Art in all it's forms speaks to the heart. It is communication. Its message can be embellished with words added by the creator or an observer or not. And that embellishment can become a dialogue. In my opinion art and words together is as natural as breathing. That said, without words art is not silent. Some people may not hear the unspoken or unwritten word/emotions but so it goes for words. Some people receive and understand the words and others do not.❤️
I am inclined to agree with you, that an expression of emotion is inseparable from one’s art. Without emotion, where would threads have room to breathe?
